Wanting to make its mark on the competitive Nottingham food scene, Japanese fine-dining restaurant Kinu hired us to increase brand awareness and footfall with a launch event.

Approach
Kinu marked the latest fine-dining establishment to hit Nottingham’s food scene, and with competition from another Japanese eatery launching on the same night, the stakes were incredibly high.
The Cartwright team were tasked with capturing the buzz around the new concept of Japanese fine dining and converting this into footfall and ongoing engagement.
Using our strong links in the city, we curated a guestlist of Nottingham’s top movers, shakers and influencers – including property developer extraordinaire and TV personality Guy Phoenix.
We devised a showstopping event that celebrated the culture of Japan, highlighted the exceptional food and had live activations, including performances from authentic geishas. The launch was also marked with a ribbon cutting by the Sherriff of Nottingham.
Results
Through event liaison and PR support, Kinu saw 178 attendees at its launch which included local businesses, foodie influencers and local celebrities.
Across its influencer activity, we helped to curate 368 likes and 67 reposts from the evening and saw three pieces of exclusive coverage with Nottingham Live pre-and-post event. Following the launch, Kinu was regarded with locals as a must-try food destination.
