The Cartwright approach to AI
As a forward-thinking agency with creativity and innovation at the centre of all we do, we recognise the many benefits Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can offer, and how they can help to enhance the work we do on a day-to-day. However, AI is never a replacement for our own expertise which is backed by almost 20 years of hard work. Instead, we believe it’s about devising smarter ways of working that give our staff and clients greater support.
Here's a little more information about how we’re harnessing the power of AI here at Cartwright.
Use cases
AI has the ability to drive efficiencies through automation, and can provide insights into key data that can benefit us as an agency as well as the many clients we serve each day. However, we never use AI for any agency outputs such as social media post creation, creative asset creation or content writing, so all our clients can rest assured that any work we deliver is created and delivered by us personally – no robots involved here.
So, how do we currently use AI as an agency?
AI is currently helping take the legwork out of a range of tasks for us so we can focus on giving our clients high levels of expertise and care. Whether it’s automating admin tasks, supporting note-taking or supporting with ideation, it has a range of uses.
Security
While a fantastic aid, we also recognise the risks AI can pose too, especially when it comes to security.
The safety of all our customer and company data will always be a priority for us, and the topic of security is something we take really seriously. As such, we have robust protocols and policies in place in relation to the protection of all our client, company and staff confidential data and sensitive information. As part of this, all Cartwright staff are required to only use AI tools that are pre-approved by the company’s security team, and each tool must be used in a manner that is in line with our security best practices.
As part of our AI security policy, no staff members are permitted to upload or share any data with any AI tools that is confidential in nature or protected by regulation without prior approval. This includes data related to customers, employees, or partners or login details or other sensitive information.
Any AI tool used by employees must meet our security and data protection standards, with all staff members required to sign an internal AI policy document. It’s about ensuring we can make the most of the many benefits AI offers while identifying and minimising any potential risks associated with their use.
In addition, all staff members are required to always act in a manner that promotes the best security practices in all their operations. This includes using strong passwords, keeping software up to date, only using AI tools from a reputable source and following strict data retention and disposal policies which are regularly reviewed by our digital security teams.
The world of AI is evolving at an exciting pace, and we’re committed to doing all we can to stay on top of further developments in AI. As such, we’ll regularly be reviewing our agency AI policies to make sure they remain robust.
