We drove footfall The Gateway in Ancoats from Lovell Homes, through a creative dog-themed activation, generating brand buzz, hyperlocal coverage and face-to-face engagement with potential buyers at a bustling market.

Background
We were tasked with driving footfall to the latest development from Lovell Homes in Manchester, The Gateway, generating interest in its new town houses and raising awareness with potential buyers in the trendy neighbourhood of Ancoats.
Approach
Our strategy was to focus on the lifestyle and interests of those buying in Ancoats to not only appeal to them but to create newsworthy content. The chosen tactics were:
- Partner with Manchester and Cheshire Dogs Home to help their longstanding residents find a home for life
- Brand a stall at the popular Maker’s Market to raise awareness of Lovell and to shout out the amazing dogs also looking for a new home through beautiful bespoke illustrations
- Give the many dog owners visiting the stall the chance to walk just a few minutes to The Gateway to have their own furry friend illustrated in front of them – and to meet the friendly sales executive!
- Wrap up the campaign with a final news piece highlighting the money raised through the event that would now help those at Manchester and Cheshire Dogs Home
Results
The Lovell stall received hundreds of visitors during its one day at the Markers Market creating a high level of brand exposure in the area to support ongoing targeted sales activity.
The illustrator was kept busy with 12 potential customers spending time with the sales team while their dogs posed for a perfect portrait.
Hyper local press coverage reached a further 125,000 readers in the area.
