The industry’s biggest ideas for a better built environment
Big ideas are the foundation of the built environment. For UKREiiF 2026, we challenged the industry to look ahead by asking: what’s your One Big Idea to make a difference in the property, construction and investment space?
We have now received more than 150 submissions and our panel of industry experts has picked a winner. However, it doesn’t stop there – our report uncovers these ideas, looks at where the sector’s strengths lie and identifies potential collaborations to move from ideas to action.
The journey
Step 1:
Submission. We asked everyone to submit their One Big Idea in advance of UKREiiF.
Step 2:
Our panel of experts reviewed every submission. The most impactful ideas were selected to present live at UKREiiF.
Step 3:
Our shortlist shared their idea at our One Big Idea Breakfast at UKREiiF. Congratulations to Sally Grindrod-Smith for being chosen as the winner. We also gathered further ideas from attendees in Leeds.
Step 4:
These ideas deserve to be shared so we’ve launched a report analysing the submissions, showcasing opportunities and celebrating the ideas that will drive us forward.
