Big ideas are the foundation of the built environment. For UKREiiF 2026, we’ve challenged the industry to look ahead by asking: what’s your One Big Idea to make a difference in the property, construction and investment space?  

Submissions are now officially closed. Our panel of industry experts has reviewed each submission and the shortlisted 2026 finalists will be joining us live to share their One Big Idea at UKREiiF.

The journey so far 

Submit your idea

Step 1:

We asked everyone to submit their One Big Idea. The submission window closed on Friday 13 March. 

Reviewed by panel

Step 2:

Our panel of experts reviewed every submission. The most impactful ideas have been selected to present live. Even if your idea isn’t selected, don’t worry – you’ll receive an invite to the event and the opportunity to feature in our One Big Idea report post-event.

Our shortlist will share their idea at our One Big Idea Breakfast on Wednesday 20 May as part of a panel session hosted by the Cartwright team.

If you didn’t get chance to submit an idea for the One Big Idea Breakfast, don’t worry there is still chance to be part of the initiative. We will be gathering your ideas on the ground at UKREiiF from our stand in the conference. Find us in the Royal Armouries between the Hall of Steel and cafe to submit your sparks of innovation to push the industry forward, and we’ll include in our post-event report.

Frequently asked questions

I already have a ticket for UKREiiF 2026 – what happens if I win?

If you are shortlisted and already have a ticket assigned to you, you may transfer the complimentary ticket to another member of your organisation. 

When will I hear back?

Entries for One Big Idea 2026 closed on Friday 13 March. Shortlisted submissions were announced week commencing Monday 13 April. If you submitted an idea but were not shortlisted you will have received an email with details on the One Big Idea Breakfast where you can hear more from the initiative at UKREiiF.  

What happens to my idea if I’m not shortlisted?

Don’t worry - we want to celebrate all ideas submitted and we’ll be collating as many of them as possible in our One Big Idea report, which will be released post-UKREiiF. 

When will the final ideas be presented?

The three finalists will share their ideas in depth with our panel of judges at UKREiiF during the One Bid Idea Breakfast, who will decide a winner. The breakfast will be held at SLR Consulting Pavilion, Pavilion 5, Pavilion Avenue 8am to 9:30am.
