Kali Dennett wins Emerging Property Person of the Year at the East Midlands Property Awards

One of strategic marketing agency Cartwright’s rising stars has been recognised at the East Midlands’ property industry’s biggest awards.

Associate director Kali Dennett has been named the Emerging Property Person of the Year at the East Midlands Property Awards, acknowledging her significant influence across some the agency’s biggest clients and projects.

Having joined the agency five years ago with no experience in the property industry, she has since earned five promotions to become Cartwright’s youngest ever associate director at the age of 27.

In the last year, she has led Cartwright’s One Big Idea campaign as UKREiiF’s official storytelling partner - generating nearly 200 submissions from across the built environment – and has led some of the agency’s key accounts including Lovell, Conygar and the Efficiency North.

Kali said: “I have met some incredibly impressive people during my five years in the property industry, so to be recognised with this award alongside some of them – not to mention the regional built environment’s leading projects - is a huge honour. Marketing plays such an important role in driving these projects, and learning the inner workings of the industry has been such an enjoyable journey so far.

“None of it happens in isolation, and I have benefited enormously from the support and trust of my colleagues, clients and industry connections. This award may have been presented to me, but it’s recognition for the brilliant teamwork that has helped Cartwright grow as an agency, support my goals and created measurable impact for our clients.”

Alongside her client work, Kali was one of just 16 property professionals worldwide chosen for the MIPIM Challengers programme in 2025, before successfully mentoring colleague Lucy Torr to the same recognition in 2026. Internally, she also leads Cartwright’s work experience programme, as well as spearheading its client resourcing and overall efficiencies.

Annie Brafield, managing director at Cartwright, said: “The built environment needs people who can understand complex challenges, bring the right voices together and turn strong ideas into meaningful action. Kali has shown an exceptional ability to do that, both for our clients and across the wider industry.

“The results she earns for clients speak for themselves, but more importantly, she challenges us to keep improving and is committed to helping the people around her develop. This award is deserved recognition of the impact Kali is already making. She has a significant role to play in Cartwright’s future and I am confident her influence across the property industry will continue to grow.”
